Each March, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) recognizes its Senior Nutrition Program and the services it has provided to millions of older Americans since 1972. This year, ACL will celebrate accomplishments at the national and local levels, share information about nutrition’s impact on health and independence, and highlight critical topics in senior nutrition. The 2024 theme, “Connection in Every Bite,” highlights one of the most important aspects of the Senior Nutrition Program: the profound relationship between food and social connection.
As part of this celebration, ACL’s Office of Nutrition and Health Promotion Programs and the Nutrition & Aging Resource Center will host an upcoming webinar titled “Get Ready to Connect and Celebrate.” During this event, speakers will share resources and offer a sneak peek of what’s ahead for the program in 2024.
