cultural and linguistic competency standards to the Preadmission Screening and Resident Review
(PASRR) assessment. PASSR is a federal requirement to help ensure that individuals are not
inappropriately placed in nursing homes for long-term care. This webinar will focus on PASRR
person-centered expectations for adaptation to culture, language, ethnic origin, and communication
preferences, using the federal standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services
(CLAS) as a guide.
