Speakers will discuss long-standing issues throughout long-term care facilities, including inadequate staffing and poor enforcement and oversight of nursing homes. During the month of March, Consumer voice will be advocating for the following improvements:
- Minimum staffing standards in nursing homes
- Increased pay, benefits, and training for staff
- Better oversight of nursing homes
- Accountability for how nursing homes spend Medicare and Medicaid dollars
