Implementing and Sustaining Evidence-Based Programs in Rural Settings

Event Description:
Evidence-based programs have been rigorously tested in controlled settings, proven effective, and translated into practical models that are widely available to community-based organizations. While widely considered a “best practice” strategy for community health promotion, the implementation of evidence-based programs in rural settings brings unique but manageable challenges. During this webinar, the Evidence-Based Leadership Collaborative will provide insight into the value of these programs, as well as highlight rural communities who have demonstrated implementation success using community programs, 1:1 intervention and other program models. We will also provide an overview of the many ways Title III and other resources can be leveraged to improve access and sustain the work. Finally, additional resources, including technical support from the EBLC, will be discussed.
