Federal Marketplace Open Enrollment Deadline – January 16, 2024

Event Description:

The Federal Marketplace Open Enrollment Period on HealthCare.gov runs from November 1 to January 15 for states using the HealthCare.gov platform. Because January 15 is a federal holiday in 2024, outreach will continue for an extra day and consumers can enroll until Tuesday, January 16. Consumers will need to enroll no later than this date to have healthcare coverage starting on Thursday, February 1. State-specific deadlines and other information are available in the State-based Marketplace Open Enrollment Fact Sheet.

After January 16, consumers will only be able to enroll in or change plans if they qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. This includes consumers who recently lost (or will soon lose) Medicaid or CHIP coverage because their income is too high or other changes make them ineligible. Apply and enroll today at HealthCare.gov or CuidadoDeSalud.gov

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is also hosting the final webinar in its series of partner webinars aimed at engaging various stakeholders throughout the Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment. This meeting will focus on current and new Marketplace resources, theme weeks of action, data snapshots, and other Marketplace updates.

This webinar will take place on Wednesday, January 31 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
