Community Health Workers: Working in a Meaningful & Impactful Manner with Older Adults (English-language)

Event Description: 
This webinar is intended to help community health workers learn more about working with older adults. It will discuss the physical and cognitive changes the occur with aging and the special needs older adults may have. The webinar will also cover common biases to avoid. Finally, this webinar will touch on how social determinants of health may uniquely impact older adults.
 
The presenter for this webinar is Francisco Ronquillo, MA, PA.  He has worked in the education and public health sector for more than 20 years and is dedicated to tackling the social determinants of health and the needs of marginalized populations. His multi-sector collaborators are community health workers/representatives, health council coordinators, community leaders, public and private school personnel, faith-based organizations and other health advocates in the southern and central areas of New Mexico.
