Event Description:
In order to transition to Medicaid Managed Long-Term Services and Supports successfully, some beneficiaries require language services and culturally competent support. This webinar will highlight The Coalition of Limited English Speaking Elderly's (CLESE) Language Access Center. The Center offers interpretation services and assistance to MCO care coordinators to help improve communication between limited English speaking older adults and MCOs. The webinar will focus on the partnership between CLESE and Humana-Independent Living Systems.
During this webinar, participants will learn the importance of cultural competency and language, identify best practices for working with limited English speaking beneficiaries, and learn the steps for creating a partnership between CBOs and health organizations.
