The National Skills Coalition is seeking a Chief of Staff. This position will be involved in leadership, helping to drive policy change efforts, enhancing organizational capacity, and supporting policy initiatives. The primary focus of the role is to support the CEO, Board, and Executive Team in achieving NSC's mission. The Chief of Staff oversees cross-departmental special projects related to evaluation, event strategy, DEI, staff capacity, strategic plan implementation, field engagement, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
CEO Support
- Maximizing CEO's effectiveness for internal and external stakeholders
- Engaging NSC staff and promoting organization's mission and values
Board and Liaison and Support
- Organizes board meetings
- Supports core committees on the board
- Provides board members with comprehensive administrative and logistical support
Cross-Functional Initiatives
- Design and lead cross-functional initiatives including evaluation, event strategy, racial equity and DEI, staff capacity, strategic plan implementation, field engagement
Innovation and Strategic Investments
- Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Team to identify, evaluate, and plan funding investments and business opportunities
- Lead research and analysis of market trends to inform strategic decision-making
- Design comprehensive business plans
Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant management experience in a nonprofit organization
- Experience liaising with high-level stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and comunication skills including diplomacy with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of and/or willing to quickly become proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and virtual meeting platforms
