The Rural Health Transformation Program: What Could it Mean for Rural Working-Age and Older Adults?
The Interdisciplinary Network on Rural Population Health and Aging, a research network funded by the National Institute on Aging, will hold a webinar exploring the impact of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) on rural working-age and older adults.
The RHTP directs $50 billion over the next five years to help states respond to rural healthcare challenges, including gaps in access and high rates of chronic disease. This webinar will explore how states can use these dollars to shape healthcare access and other drivers of health for rural populations.
ADvancing States’ Senior Director of Elder Justice Initiatives, Kathy Greenlee, will be a panelist on this webinar.
Speakers:
- Carrie Cochran-McClain, Chief Policy Officer, National Rural Health Association
- Kathy Greenlee, Senior Director of Elder Justice Initiatives, ADvancing States
- Kevin J. Bennett, Director, South Carolina Center for Rural & Primary Care, and Professor of Family and Preventive Medicine, University of South Carolina
