Powering Possibilities: SkillsBuild for Older Adults is a grant opportunity from NCOA, in partnership with IBM, that helps older adults build confidence with technology and develop skills they can use in everyday life and work. To be eligible, organizations must meet both of the following criteria:

• Be a community-based nonprofit or governmental organization, such as a senior center, aging services agency, workforce agency, library, or adult education program; and
• Serve older adults, including workers, jobseekers, caregivers, or others who would benefit from building digital skills and confidence.

Twenty-five organizations will be selected to receive between $5,000 and $10,000 in funding, depending on the number of older adults enrolled and supported by the program. 

The grant period is February 1, 2026, through October 1, 2026. Applications will be accepted until January 23 at 11:59 p.m.
