N4a previously conducted a poll on how Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) across the country have adapted to serve growing numbers of individuals with dementia and their caregivers. The poll also asked AAAs about the development of initiatives related to brain health. This webinar will review the results of the poll and highlight innovative programs from AAAs.
Programs highlighted in this webinar include the Brain Health Fair, a fair that provides hands-on activities and education on brain health, developed by Bergen County Division of Senior Services in New Jersey, and the Model for Alzheimer’s/Dementia Services Focused on People Living Alone (MASPLA), developed by the United Way of Tarrant County AAA, which aims to identify and connect with people living with dementia who live alone and their caregivers.
