Asking this Critical Question Can Make a Difference: "Have you or a loved one ever served in the military?"

The SMVF TA Center works with states and territories to strengthen their behavioral health systems for service members, veterans, and their families. Proper screening of service members, veterans, and their families (SMVF) enables community providers to connect with those individuals, inform treatment planning decisions, and help SMVF access care and benefits. This webinar will review how delivery of quality care is tied to screening for military service, discuss how to ask about prior military experience when screening individuals, and describe successful initiatives that have been implemented to identify SMVF in systems of care. The target audience is healthcare providers and peers serving SMVF from city, county, state, territory, and tribal behavioral health systems.
