Today, the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act, ADvancing States wrote to Senators Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid and urged the Senate leaders to pass the Older Americans Act Reauthorization (S. 192). The Older Americans Act (OAA) authorization expired in 2011, and its services have been maintained by way of the annual appropriations process. ADvancing States encourages the Senate to schedule a vote on this critical legislation and to pass the bill to ensure that America's seniors have access to the important supports and services on which they rely.
