The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has released a notice of funding opportunity for the FY 2026 Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) Pilot Program. Approximately $11.96 million is available through this funding opportunity.

The purpose of the ICAM Pilot Program is to improve the coordination of transportation and non-emergency medical transportation services for transportation-disadvantaged populations, including older adults, people with disabilities, and people with low incomes. Eligible projects may include:

• Mobility management projects;
• Deployment of coordination technology; and
• Projects that create or increase access to one-call/one-click centers.
• Vehicles for shared or coordinated transportation services

Eligible applicants include state departments of transportation, designated recipients of Section 5310 funds, local government authorities that operate a public transportation service, private nonprofit organizations, public transportation operators, and certain private providers of shared-ride transportation services. FTA will prioritize regional and statewide coordination projects over local projects. 

Grant applications for this opportunity are due on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
