Join this webinar to hear how Minnesota’s aging and disability network approached this challenge through development and maintenance of MinnesotaHelp.info.

I&R Center Webinar: Helping Connect Individuals to Benefits: Approaches, Tools, and Promising Practices

Despite the availability of public benefits programs that can help meet basic needs and improve economic security, many low-income older adults and younger adults with disabilities are under-enrolled. In this webinar, the National Council on Aging (NCOA) will present findings from a recent study on how stigma affects perceptions of these programs, and results from a national survey of what messages can effectively counter stigma. Participants will also see how NCOA’s newly redesigned online screening tool, BenefitsCheckUp®, can assist with identifying benefits.

The National I&R Center is hosting a webinar on America's Senior Health Rankings Senior Report, 2016. The webinar will explore the most recent data released about senior health on a national and state-by-state basis, according to the Senior Health Rankings Report to be released by United Health Foundation. You will learn about national health improvements and challenges, senior health state rankings, and tools you can use to communicate the data.

Iowa Conference on Aging and Disabilities

ADvancing States is proud to be sponsoring a National Aging and Disabilities Conference in Des Moines, Iowa, May 23-May 26. This conference will draw speakers from over 30 states. Participants will join us from federal, state government, and local organizations. This is an opportunity to meet service providers, advocacy groups, state staff, managed care organizations, CMS officials, and national association staff to share questions, opportunities, and ideas in thoughtful discussions.
