ADvancing States previously submitted a letter to House Leadership on Friday, September 27 in support of H.R. 4334, the Dignity in Aging Act of 2019, which would authorize the Older Americans Act (OAA) for an additional five years. On Friday, October 25, the House released revised bill text. At this time, ADvancing States submitted another letter to House and Senate Leadership expressing continued support for the legislation. In this letter, ADvancing States expresses appreciation for the updates to Section 301 regarding the Maintenance of Effort requirements for the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. The letter also acknowledges the importance of the compromise on the "hold harmless" funding formula included in the revised bill text.
