This document and the accompanying forms are intended to provide a tool and resources for grantees to support determination of their management information systems (MIS) requirements.

This presentation was given by Susan Reinhard and Lisa Alecxih on ADRC Design Options at the CMS Real Systems Change Conference in March, 2004. The presentation reviews features that resource centers must provide and uses three sites as an example.

A presentation by Karen Linkins and Sharon Zeruld, TAE, focuses on national vision and expectations for ADRCs.

You Have a Choice! DVD in four formats: standard, with English subtitles, with Spanish subtitles, and audio described. The video is excellent for informing consumers about their options to leave a nursing home and to educate nursing home staff, family members and the general public about the option of transition. These two papers outline ways governors can support caregivers who assist people who need in-home services. State Support, lists strategies to help both kinds of caregivers as they restructure their LTC systems. A Lifetime of Health & Dignity recommends that officials inform home care workers about their eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit, assist in the development of employer health insurance purchasing pools, & connect low-wage workers to support systems.

A briefing paper prepared as part of the National Evaluation of the Implementation of WIA, Serving the Homeless explores the extent to which persons who experience homelessness can be effectively served within the One-Stop context, and through what specific and unique means and strategies.

The National Organization on Disability website offers resources for marketing to people with disabilities as well as to their friends, families, employers, and service providers. The website includes a list of comunications firms specializing in marketing to people with disabilities, strategies for reaching them, and guidelines for writing about them.

States have used a variety of techniques to combat the rising costs of prescriptions, especially for psychotropic medications. This paper notes that it is important to consider alternatives that have the potential to both contain costs and improve the quality of care and outcomes. The paper provides some examples of promising practices from Pennsylvania, Missouri, Texas, and Massachusetts.

This table explains which of the evaluation data elements the grantees will share responsibility for collecting (e.g. with AoA, Lewin) and which they will need to be able to provide on their own.
