This is the Administration on Aging's National Aging Information and Referral/Assistance Support Center guide. This guide assists State and Area Agencies on Aging and local providers in matching I&R/A services with established AIRS Standards.

This link brings you to the Administration on Aging website. There is information on Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) provided here. The ADRC Grant Program, a cooperative effort of the AoA & the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), was developed to assist states in their efforts to create a single, coordinated system of information and access for all persons seeking long term support to minimize confusion, enhance individual choice, and support informed decision-making.

On September 17, 2003, CMS sent a letter to state Medicaid directors addressing the principles of Money Follows the person. This letter is a follow up to the August 13, 2004 letter. Because the concept has been widely discussed in “Open Door” forums, this letter provides additional examples and clarification of the concept.

The Medicare/Medicaid Integration Program aims to end the fragmentation of financing, case management, and service delivery that currently exsists between the two programs. A report focusing on integrating information is provided, in addition to a link that provides several technical assistance reports.

These materials were developed by the Sutton Group and are focused on people over 50 and adults with disabilities. The two handouts provide information on effective ways to market to both of these groups. A link is also provided to the Sutton Group website.

The Community Living Exchange Collaborative at Rutgers Center for State Health Policy hosted a conference call for the Respite Grantees to discuss the outline for a proposed brief on the definition of respite. The agenda included an introduction by Susan Reinhard, the CMS perspective from Deidra Abbott on \"what is respite? - National perspectives and initiatives\", the state perspective from Bruce Whitten, Arkansas, and all participants had an opportunity for Q&A and general discussion

This report summarizes the results of a telephone survey conducted by Mathematica in mid-2002 of adults age 50 and over in 13 communities. The report includes population characteristics as well as their knowledge of long-term care coverage and service availability.
