Resource Submission FAQs

Book

The Clearinghouse invites you to submit resources for possible inclusion on hcbs.org.

What type of materials are we looking for?

  • Promising Practices
  • Trainings & Manuals
  • Newsletters & Publications
  • Assessments & Forms
  • Conference Material
  • Announcements & Press Releases
  • Requests for Proposals
  • Assessments & Surveys
  • Reports & Policy Briefs
  • Websites & On-line Data Tools

Be creative! Don't limit your contributions to traditional reports and papers. We recently posted PSA radio and TV ads. In addition to pdfs and html documents, we can accept audio files, PowerPoint presentations, databases and media clips. Anything you've created to promote, explain, or monitor your program will likely be of use to your peers.

How can I submit my resources to the exchange?

There are two ways to submit your resources. Either complete the form at the end of this page or email us directly at info@advancingstates.org.

Why should I submit my resources?

We have a community of users with similar goals—improving home and community-based services. Sharing resources allows others to benefit and learn from the accomplishments and challenges of comparable projects.

You can help us reach our goal to facilitate and disseminate information, tools, and practical resources across the many states and local entities that are reexamining and redesigning how they provide supports.

What type of things will not be posted?

All items will be reviewed by the Clearinghouse staff to determine suitability. Proprietary information is one example of something that will not be posted. We reserve the right to refuse or remove documents which are inappropriate or outdated.

When will I hear from hcbs.org about my submission?

After you submit the form or send the your email submission, we will contact you as to whether or not your suggestion has been accepted for inclusion in the Clearinghouse. Once a resource has been added, you will receive an email containing a direct url link to your files.

How long will it take to add my resource?

It generally takes about a week to post a resource on the site once it has been submitted.
