Dementia in the Community: Intergenerational Programming Aimed at Engaging Children, Youth and People Living with Dementia

Event Description: 
This NADRC webinar will discuss intergenerational and youth-focused programs that address social and community issues regarding dementia. Research suggests that those living with dementia who participate in intergenerational programs show a decrease in social isolation, as well as an increase in a sense of belonging, self-esteem, and well-being. Programming that targets youth helps communities develop a deeper understanding of dementia and provides support for youth who may be also be caregivers.
