The Return on Investment Calculator for Partnerships to Address Social Determinants of Health (ROI Calculator) was designed to help CBOs and their health care partners explore and plan financial arrangements to fund social services for people with complex needs. This webinar will describe how health systems and providers, payers, and CBOs can apply the ROI Calculator to their work. The webinar will feature a Washington State CBO that used the tool to quantify the value of their services when developing a partnership with a Medicare Advantage plan.
 

Strengthening the Direct Care Workforce in Your State

Event Description: 
This webinar will discuss an upcoming Milbank Memorial Fund toolkit, The Direct Care Workforce Policy and Action Guide, organized by Courtney Roman, Carrie Graham, and Nida Joseph from the Center for Health Care Strategies, Clare Luz of IMPART Alliance/Michigan State University, and Kate McEvoy of the Milbank Memorial Fund. It will also feature insights from states that are working to improve supports for the direct care workforce. 
 

Virtual Site Visit: Celebrating Older Americans Month

Event Description: 
May is Older Americans Month and Community Action Awareness Month. To honor both of these observances, ACL is partnering with ACF's Office of Community Services (OCS) on a virtual site visit to ACL-network provider, North Central Idaho Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The purpose of the virtual visit is to explore the shared goals of the aging network and community services network.

The re-determination process can cause confusion for beneficiaries, providers, and caseworkers and millions of redeterminations are expected during the unwinding.

In this webinar, attendees will learn about the importance and benefits of gathering health research data from diverse populations. The webinar will discuss the barrier to participation in health research for members of marginalized communities. Lessons Learned on Partnerships for Inclusive Transit Planning

In this webinar, attendees will learn how to develop partnerships for transit planning that is inclusive of older adults and people with disabilities. The webinar will feature speakers from Easterseals Massachusetts and from the Transit Services Division for Frederick County Maryland. Both organizations have partnerships to further transit systems which are inclusive of older aults and people with disabilities. Speakers will share their experiences, best practices, and lessons learned on building inclusive transit partnerships.
