Understanding Behaviors as Forms of Communication

Event Description: 
Join the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) for an interactive workshop on the importance of understanding the impact dementia and related illness has on a person’s ability to communicate. This session will help reframe typical “problem behaviors” sometimes exhibited by individuals living with dementia as expressions of need and explore the many ways individuals with dementia commonly communicate their needs.  Participants will learn to:
  1. Define the stages and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

2023 CMS Quality Conference

The conference aims to improve healthcare quality, equity, and innovation, and will bring together experts in the healthcare space to develop and spread solutions to address America's most pervasive health system challenges. CMS Health Equity Conference Call for Proposals Informational Webinar

Event Description: 

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will be hosting their inaugural Health Equity Summit on June 7-8, 2023 and is now accepting proposals. Presentations should focus around the core principles for reducing health disparities found in the CMS Framework for Health Equity for 2022-2023.

A webinar on the proposal submission process will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET. 

Proposals are due on Friday, April 14, 2023.
