Working with the Media to Support the Campaign for Mental Health Recovery - Webcast

In support of the Campaign for Mental Health Recovery, SAMHSA has made available this free training Webcast. Two presenters explain how individuals at the grassroots level can successfully garner media interest and support for the CMHR, and how to use the CMHR community site kit. This Webcast may also be of interest to other individuals or organizations working with their local media to support other efforts of social importance and provides useful strategies for organizing outreach efforts.

Illness and Management Recovery Training Overview and Presentation: New Hampshire

Also known as IMR, this program's goals are to develop and review personal goals and strategies to deal with Mental Illness. It introduces the concept of "recovery" and encourages people to develop their own definitions of personal strategies. The brochure and presentation offer a program overview.

Empowerment of Native Americans with Disabilities Conference

The Montana Medicaid Infrastructure Grant held the Empowerment of Native Americans with Disabilities Conference on November 2, 2006. Expanding The “Registry” Concept: Creating Access To Care For Consumers & Employment For Care Workers

As part of the January 2008 Monthly ADRC TAE call, Dorie Seavey and Hollis Turnham presented the idea of worker registries. Supporting materials offer an overview of the concept and state examples. Also included is a two-page hand out that lists worker registry websites and offers and example of the database potential functionalities.

Partnership Educational Presentation and Handouts: Oklahoma

As part of the Oklahoma Real Choice Systems Change Grant, Oklahoma developed a number of training tools for their partnership members. The group consisted of Consumer Consultants and Grant Partners. The presentations and handouts describe roles, working as a team, communication, decision making, policy history, state specific divisions and services and the ADvantage program.
