Oral health care coordination for individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid can face several challenges, including coverage complexity, provider shortages, and disparities in dental health access. The webinar will articulate the dental care needs of dually eligible individuals and highlight promising practices for health plans and providers to meet those needs.

Despite the millions of American adults who need long-term services and supports (LTSS), there are currently no comprehensive federal data collection efforts intended to measure the extent of this issue. The lack of data limits evidence-based decision-making that could improve programs and policy and reduce the negative consequences of unmet LTSS needs.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a strategic framework for a national plan on aging, aiming to advance healthy aging and age-friendly communities. The report involves input from federal agencies and various stakeholders including older adults, family caregivers, and the aging services network. The national plan on aging will advance best practices for service delivery, support development and strengthening of partnerships within and across sectors, identify solutions for removing barriers to health and independence for older adults, and more.
