The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released new regulations in January 2014 governing home and community-based services (HCBS) provided through state Medicaid programs. To assist states in complying with the requirements of the HCBS final rule as it relates to non-residential settings, CMS recently released a toolkit with a number of factsheets and resources.

This four-part series introduced participants to the new terminology and provided an understanding of the healthcare marketplace and the importance of developing partnerships in your network as essential to your organization's sustainability in this new market.

Currently, people with Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairments and their caregivers access a wide range of health and social supports, including Chronic Disease Self -Management Programs (CDSMP), falls prevention, and other evidence-based programs.
