Civil Money Penalty Reinvestment Program (CMPRP) Revisions Memo

On September 25, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a Civil Money Penalty Reinvestment Program (CMPRP) Revisions Memo: Ref: QSO-23-23-NHS. A civil money penalty (CMP) is a monetary penalty that CMS may impose against nursing homes for noncompliance with federal requirements. A portion of CMPs is collected from nursing homes and returned to the state in which CMPs are imposed. State CMP funds may be reinvested to support activities that support quality of care and life for nursing home residents. Financial Alignment Demonstrations for Dual Eligible Beneficiaries Compared: States with Memoranda of Understanding Approved by CMS

This policy brief provides a comparison of CMS’ finalized memoranda of understanding with California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Virginia to test a capitated model and with Washington to test a managed fee-for-service (FFS) model to integrate care and align financing for dual-eligibles. These 2013 demonstrations will introduce changes in the care delivery systems and will test a new system of payments and financing arrangements among CMS, the states and providers.

Project SEARCH - Alaska

The Project SEARCH High School Transition Program is a unique, business led, one year school-to-work program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration, and on-the-job training and support through internships or worksite rotations.
