ADvancing States Welcomes Yonda Snyder as Aging Services Director

ADvancing States, a national organization dedicated to advancing state policies and practices that support the needs of older adults and people with disabilities, is proud to announce the appointment of Yonda Snyder to the position of Aging Services Director. Since 2018, Ms. Snyder has been a Principal Consultant with Sage Squirrel Consulting, working with multiple state government human service agencies on policy and program initiatives, including, but not limited to, Medicaid HCBS, PASRR, workforce development, and No Wrong Door. From 2014 to 2018, she was the Director of the Division of Aging within the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, where she led the administration of the state’s Older Americans Act, Adult Protective Services, PASRR, and Medicaid waivers for persons who were aged and disabled. Prior to working in the Division of Aging, Ms. Snyder had extensive experience in human resource and organizational design leadership, in both state government and the private sector. Ms. Snyder has a lengthy track record of leading or facilitating organizational and programmatic transformation in both human resources and human services. We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Snyder to the ADvancing States team and are confident that her wealth of experience and demonstrated leadership will greatly enhance our efforts to support the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
