The Division for Aging Services within the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, in collaboration with community partners, provides and advocates for resources and services to improve the employment, quality of life, security and independence of older Virginians, Virginians with disabilities, and their families. The Division for Aging Services receives substantial funding from the Commonwealth to augment federal programs and to offer additional programs to people with disabilities and older Virginians.
The Division is seeking a NWD (No Wrong Door) Director to lead, manage, and supervise Virginia’s No Wrong Door System (NWD) in four core areas of:
- Information
- Referral and assistance
- Person-centered planning streamlined access and
- Statewide governance
Duties include but are not limited to overseeing long-range planning, policy, technical assistance and resource development of Virginia’s No Wrong Door System and network of home and community-based partners led regionally by the Area Agencies on Aging statewide. Manages existing grants and facilitates new grant opportunities.
