Dementia Care in the Community Toolkit

The Long-Term Care Community Coalition (LTCCC) recently released their “Dementia Care in the Community” toolkit. This online resource offers accessible, evidence-informed tools that can be used at home, in community settings, or in care environments.
Resources include plain-language fact sheets on dementia, communication, safety, pain, and more; quick "Care Cards" for everyday situations; short, focused mini-module training videos; and guidance to support person-centered individualized care.
In addition, LTCCC will offer a Train-the-Trainer webinar series introducing resources from the toolkit for specific groups. The webinar dates and sessions are:
• April 23: Faith-based groups
• April 30: Providers
• May 7: Employers
• May 14: Professionals
• May 21: Legislators
