VideoCaregiving: A Visual Education Center for Family Caregivers – Website

Watch a series of short, simple and direct videos meant to educate and train family caregivers. Videos cover a range of topics from infection control to paperwork. A “Beyond the Video” section offers video summaries and tips for applying lessons to each family's situation.

Family Support 360 Presentation: TA Call on Emergency Preparedness with Commissioner Morrissey

This is a presentation hosted by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities and their TA providers, BETAH Associates, which includes a discussion of emergency preparedness, with a focus on individuals with disabilities. Healthy Aging Programs for Older Adults - Online Training

This is an online training module on evidence-based health promotion for older adults, which is designed primarily for aging services providers. This training module will define health promotion concepts, frameworks and terms, and will provide interactive exercises, downloadable tools and resources that can help the user plan for, implement, and reinforce the quality of health promotion programs.

Status Report on the Use of Wheelchairs and Other Mobility Devices on Public and Private Transportation

The Easter Seals Project ACTION commissioned this report to make the use of mobility devices in transportation safer and easier. A diverse advisory group used several research methods to create best practices in vehicle and equipment design, wheelchair design and usage, transit operations and training, and policy. The appendices provide links to regulatory sources and sample brochures. Riders, manufacturers, transit operators, researchers, and policymakers may all find this useful.

Family Care Self-Directed Supports – Wisconsin

Wisconsin used MIG funds to increase self-directed supports within a managed care framework in their state. Find here a set of policy recommendations used for setting the stage for this effort as well as a qualitative study outlining the implementation process. There are also several presentations focused on training support workers to understand and facilitate self-direction, using Cash & Counseling to support employment, and helping people with traumatic brain injuries return to work.

Self-Determination and Revitalization of Integrated Employment - Wisconsin

Wisconsin uses MIG funds to increase integrated employment using strategies such as vocational planning, peer support, social enterprises, and self-employment. The first resource here presents best practices in integrated employment from 23 states. The rest are manuals and training materials for replicating vocational planning, social enterprise, and self-employment programs.

Sensory Impairments: Employer Resources – Wisconsin

Wisconsin developed this project to improve work opportunities for students with sensory impairments by educating employers. The first document is a resource guide on low-cost workplace accommodations, with a focus on assistive technology. The second presents the findings of a statewide employer survey on accommodations and trainings used. The final document is the year-end MIG report for the project.

Youth Leadership and Development Training – Wisconsin

The WI Statewide Transition Initiative receives guidance from a Youth Advisory Board (YAB). The materials contained here were developed to teach workers to help support meaningful work by the Board via youth leadership training and development. The YAB description provides the details and goals of the program. The facilitators guide and presentation structured the training, and the youth activities and programming resource support implementation.
