In this case study, the authors examined the decisions and experiences of parents/guardians who directed supports and services for an adult with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities (SIDD). Respondents included the parents/guardian of the adult as well as others in the circle of support identified by the parents/guardians.

This brief provides a summary of the CMS’s March 23, 2012 final rule to implement the ACA provisions relating to Medicaid eligibility and enrollment coordination. The rule (effective Jan. 1, 2014) lays out procedures for states to implement expansion and streamline and integrate eligibility and enrollment system. Achieving this goal will require substantial process and system changes among state Medicaid agencies and close coordination between Medicaid and other insurance affordability programs.

The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a recruitment and referral program for students and recent graduates with disabilities, including veterans. The program uses a database to connect federal and private sector employers nationwide with college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are seeking summer or permanent jobs. Private sector employers can also access the WRP through ODEP's national Employer Assistance and Resource Network (EARN).
