The Office of Protection and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities is an independent State agency created to safeguard and advance the civil and human rights of people with disabilities in Connecticut.

This state homepage provides online access to the government, links to statewide programs, and helpful information for consumers from how to file taxes to the local traffic patterns.

CDHS oversees the state’s 64 county departments of social/human services, the state’s public mental health system, Colorado’s system of services for people with developmental disabilities, the state’s juvenile corrections system and all state and veterans’ nursing homes, through more than 5,000 employees and thousands of community-based service providers.

This report describes how the State of Illinois simplifies access to home and community-based services for people with disabilities age 60 and older. Local Case Coordination Units coordinate eligibility determination and case management for Medicaid waiver services, state-funded home and community-based services, and Older Americans Act services.
