Article Publication Date
Summary
The Community Living Policy Center (CLPC) and National Health Law Program (NHeLP) released the policy brief “Interested Parties Advisory Groups: Meaningful Stakeholder Engagement to Ensure Adequate HCBS Payment Rates and Help Strengthen the Direct Care Workforce.” The Interested Parties Advisory Group (IPAG) requirement from the Medicaid Access Rule requires that states establish a workgroup to advise on the adequacy of payment rates for direct care workers who provide home and community-based services (HCBS) for people with disabilities. This policy brief translates the requirements of the IPAG rule into actionable strategies to help states implement IPAGs effectively and increase access to Medicaid HCBS for individuals with disabilities.
