The Maryland Department of Aging is hiring a Planning, Policy, and Engagement Manager. This role will support the Maryland Department of Aging’s development and implementation of the Longevity Ready Maryland (LRM) multisector plan on aging through policy analysis, stakeholder engagement and management, data analysis and reporting, and other functions.
The LRM is Maryland’s 10-year multisector plan on aging and MDOA’s State Plan on Aging under the Older Americans Act. The plan guides policy, programming, and resource allocation to support older adults and healthy aging across the lifespan. The Planning Manager will work collaboratively with team members across the Department, as well as external partners, to ensure continued progress towards the implementation, evaluation, and update of LRM.
Preferred qualifications include:
Two or more years of experience performing community organizing activities, focused on convening diverse populations to build collective influence and advocate for systemic change.
Two or more years of experience conducting research, data collection, analysis, preferably in reporting on aging services programs, policies, and systems.
Working knowledge of the Older Americans Act.
