Summary:
On Friday, April 26, 2024 the HHS Office of for Civil Rights (OCR) finalized a rule to advance health equity and reduce disparities in health care. The Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Final Rule strengthens nondiscrimination protections under Section 1557 for any health program that receives HHS funding.
The unpublished version of the rule is available online and the rule will be formally published in the Federal Register on May 6, 2024.
