LTCFocUS.org - Long-term Care: Facts on Care in the US

This resource for long-term care researchers and policy analysts, allows users to create interactive maps and tables and download all data available on the site. The goal is to allow researchers to trace clear relationships between state policies and local market forces and the quality of long-term care. Policymakers will also be able to use the information to craft state and local guidelines that promote high-quality, cost-effective, equitable care to older Americans.

Their website is designed to make this happen. The site categorizes employers, individuals, and others separately and includes an Accommodation Search and Disabilities Glossary. Arizona Links Options Counselor Online Tool

Looking for ways to help consumers start planning their futures? Review this self-guided program. The Arizona ADRC has completed and implemented an online Options Counselor module, as part of the state's main ADRC web site. The Options Counselor content was crafted through the cooperation of a multi-organization committee. The site function and design was developed and implemented by the Arizona Department of Economic Security, Division of Aging and Adult Services.

Aging In Place Website

The National Aging in Place Council launched a new Web site last week in conjunction with Aging in Place Week 2009. The site helps link older adults with services in their neighborhood. Visit the site to find local chapters, service providers and ideas and news. In the September 2009, AoA granted over $4.5 Million dollars for Community Innovations for Aging in Place, further assisting growth in this service area.

The U.S. Census Bureau has compiled a set of disability-related facts and figures as part of its Facts for Features series. Facts for Features consist of collections of statistics from the Census Bureau's demographic and economic subject areas intended to commemorate anniversaries or observances or to provide background information for topics in the news. This edition of Facts for Features commemorates the 19th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

This easy-to-use online database helps scholars, policy analysts, and advocates stay on top of the latest research and innovations in aging care, including health care, social services, and workforce issues. The database is regularly updated by contributors that filters, reviews, and catalogues articles in professional journals both in the U.S. and abroad. An advisory committee of experts assists in the selection of topics.

IRIS: Wisconsin’s Self-Directed Supports Program - Website and Outreach Material

IRIS is a self-directed, long-term care option for elderly people and adults with disabilities. This Medicaid waiver program sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is available in the 47 counties where Family Care operates. Their website provides information about the program, forms, FAQs, enrollment information and FSA and Participant Handbook.
