This report from CMS presents information on disparities in health care received by people using Medicare Advantage. The report looks at differences in quality of care based on race and ethnicity and sex as well as the intersections of race/ethnicity and sex. CMS uses data from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems and the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set in this report.

This summary of research findings gathers research findings from a variety of National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research projects related to the impact of COVID-19 on people with disabilities. The document highlights collects projects focusing on specific research areas including community engagement, rural populations, telehealth, students, and return-to-work accommodations.

This brief explores California’s experiences using a Master Plan for Aging (MPA) to respond to unexpected challenges and opportunities. It also examines how California used their MPA to use state-led programs to address health equity. The brief looks at some of the other benefits of using an MPA including building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government agencies, and the public. The brief is intended to provide information on California’s experiences with an MPA to help other states build support for developing an MPA.

CMS has released a new proposed rule with several provisions related to dual eligible individuals and would impact states. The proposed rule includes provisions to: Limit retroactive Medicare Part B premium liability for states to 36 months, Retire the old stand-alone buy-in agreements and specify that the provisions of a state buy-in agreement shall be set forth in the state’s Medicaid state plan, Extend the Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs) to cover premiums and cost sharing for individuals enrolling in the new Medicare immunosuppressive drug benefit. CMS is currently requesting comments on the proposed rule.

This brief is intended to shed light on the complex and often-misunderstood relationship between nursing facility financing and Medicaid delivery system design.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) is conducting a national survey to better understand the wants and needs of people impacted by paralysis and their realtionship with the resource center.The objective of the survey is to learn how the disability and paralysis community view the NPRC as a strategic partner in the advancement of disability rights, and how Reeve/NPRC can best use this feedback to identify current needs, improve their services, and identify gaps where improvements can be made. The survey will remain open until Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

On April 14, 2022 the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture released the proposed scientific questions that will inform the development of the 2025-2030 DGAs. They are requesting public input on the proposed questions and will accept written comments from the public until Monday, May 16, 2022 .
