This report documents the state of Massachusetts’ attempt to develop a central registry for accessible housing that includes public housing, privately operated subsidized housing, and private market-rate developments. People with disabilities can access the registry on the Internet and by contacting the state’s Centers for Independent Living. This report provides a description of the program.

The National Consortium for Health Systems Development (NCHSD) is a state-driven forum for information sharing and innovation that improves employment policy by facilitating collaboration among local, state, and federal experts. The Aging and Disability Resource Center Grant Program, was developed to assist states in their efforts to create a single, coordinated system of information and access for all persons seeking long term support. This toolbox has been developed for ADRC grantees to: 1) List and succinctly explain the AoA-CMS requirements per each topic, and 2) provide materials that will support the design, development and operation of resource centers.

Medicare is our country’s health insurance program for people age 65 or older, certain people with disabilities who are under age 65 and people of any age who have permanent kidney failure. It provides basic protection against the cost of health care, but it doesn’t cover all medical expenses or the cost of most long-term care. This briefing paper focuses primarily on Medicare issues related to individuals receiving Social Security disability benefits.
