How are states incorporating the needs of people with disabilities into career and job fairs? The State of Maryland created the Employ-Able Disability Career Fair, which was incorporated into the state’s annual World of Possibilities Expo, with the goal of helping to bring more employment opportunities to the disabilities community and returning disabled veterans by linking employers with job seekers. This study assesses the effects of consumer direction on the experiences and well-being of the primary informal caregivers of children who participated in Florida's Cash & Counseling demonstration. Instead of Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) waiver benefits, the demonstration program provided a monthly allowance and let parents hire providers and manage the other services and goods their child needed.
