Employ-ABLE! – Maryland

How are states incorporating the needs of people with disabilities into career and job fairs? The State of Maryland created the Employ-Able Disability Career Fair, which was incorporated into the state’s annual World of Possibilities Expo, with the goal of helping to bring more employment opportunities to the disabilities community and returning disabled veterans by linking employers with job seekers. A sample flyer for this fair is attached, as well as a link to the website.

Data Collection for the Benefits Information Network – Indiana

How well is the state of Indiana’s Information Network (BIN) program satisfying participant needs? Funded in part, by the Indiana Medicaid Infrastructure Grant, BIN was set up to create a network between all the benefits counselors and providers to improve the use of federal and state work incentives. By exploring the number of cases per region, as well as work incentives used and recommended, this survey could serve as a guide for other states, with similar goals.

Personal Care Services Eligibility Determination - Indiana

This is an analytical tool developed in 2009 by the National Consortium for Health Systems Development (NCHSD), in collaboration with CMS, to help states determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG). A Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Report: The Status of the Medicaid Infrastructure Grants Program as of 12/31/07

Here is a snapshot of the program , seven years after implementation. The report introduces the grants, their assessment process, profiles funding recipients, and measures how well the program protects workers’ benefits and increases employment. In this collection of informational materials, Ohio outlines what its Medicaid Buy-In for Workers with Disabilities (MBIWD) program is. Documents include an explanatory booklet, flyer and fact sheets. A website link with the government site that houses these documents, application forms and additional information is also included. While this material was intended for consumer use, it could serve as a guide to other states contemplating or running a similar MIG program.

Final Overview Report on Aging Services Network Community-Based Low-Income Subsidy Enrollment Campaign
