The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that quality of life surveys be conducted for Money Follows the Person participants transitioning from habilitation centers and nursing facilities into the community. Review this survey as a potential template for your MFP program. This new job-search engine is a public-private partnership that delivers free access to information, outreach and resources to businesses, job seekers and the public workforce system to ensure greater recruiting and hiring opportunities for job candidates with disabilities. There are nearly 1 million job listings from more than 90,000 screened employers in the private and public sectors.

The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy’s (ODEP) new toolkit includes discussion guides and answers to frequently-asked-questions for people looking for jobs, employers, community employment agencies and others. Integrated employment places both youth and adults in regular jobs in their communities, along with any needed supports, so they can earn a decent wage. In an integrated employment setting, most of the employees are not persons with disabilities.

Using six states as examples, this report illustrates how the DD Network partners, working with each other and in collaboration with state developmental disability agencies and others, have positively affected the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities - assuring their rightful place as full community members through advocacy, research, training, and programs that directly support individuals and families.

Research from Mathematica's disability experts offers findings on programs to help move people with disabilities off the beneficiary rolls & into employment. As part of the 7-year evaluation of the Ticket to Work program, a recent report looks at the experiences of employment service providers after the Social Security Administration revised regulations to address challenges in the original program. The SSA successfully educated providers about revised regulations & instituted related supports.

This site is a one stop resource to help expand integrated supportive housing approaches for people with disabilities. It highlights innovative new options within the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities program, & provides information & resources targeted to states & other supportive housing stakeholders as they face new challenges & opportunities for ensuring community living for non elderly people with disabilities.

These Guiding Principles were developed to help to preserve the rights of individuals under participant direction, no matter what form or model, if and when workers choose to form a union. This Primer has been updated to include all relevant statutory, regulatory and other policy changes that have occurred in the last 10 years in Medicaid home and community services.
