ACL undertook a two-part evaluation of the Older Americans Act Title III-E National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP) between 2013 and 2018. ACL conducted a small, retrospective study of caregivers in the Outcome Evaluation whose care recipient passed away during the course of the outcome evaluation. This supplementary study gathered information on the service components and needs of bereaved caregivers and highlights “advice from caregivers to caregivers.”

NADTC has released the results of a new national poll on transportation needs and awareness. The study is comprised of three national surveys, conducted among older adults, people living with disabilities and family caregivers. The results of this survey are presented in slideshow format.

It discusses the hope that telehealth may help address rising healthcare costs, enable older adults to stay in their homes longer, and relieve pressure for family caregivers. It also emphasizes the importance of keeping older adults and their families at the center of telehealth expansion efforts and continuing research.

This is a tool that can assist with long term care planning, and help individuals and families plan for long term care expenses. The 2017 survey covered 440 regions across the United States.
