Vocational Rehabilitation

This publication, produced in partnership with United Cerebral Palsy, provides a comprehensive assessment of how well programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia are serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This report highlights data on 58 measures organized into seven key issue areas.

The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Conference is hosted annually by ADvancing States (formerly known as NASUAD). This event highlights best practices from across the country in home and community-based services. The conference includes federal, state, and local policymakers as well as those who administer, manage, and deliver waiver and other HCBS programs. While faced with new challenges, reduced budgets, and growing populations requiring more services, states are stronger than ever, and the work they do is more effective than ever in reaching individuals and addressing their needs. The National Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Conference 2018 highlights these achievements, allowing states to share best practices, present unique partnerships, and recognize the work of their peers.

This survey was administered to 3,000 people with disabilities who answered questions about their experiences in the workplace−the challenges they faced, as well as their successes. The key findings show that Americans with disabilities are striving to work and overcoming barriers in the job search and the workplace.

This report seeks to provide empirical evidence on the relationship between the primary impairments of Social Security disability program beneficiaries and the employment and earnings experiences of those beneficiaries. The authors' findings can inform new initiatives designed to help beneficiaries return to work or successfully transition into the adult workforce.
