This disability preparedness website provides practical information on how people with and without disabilities can prepare for an emergency. It also provides information for family members of, and service providers to, people with disabilities. In addition, this site includes information for emergency planners and first responders to help them to better prepare for serving persons with disabilities.

<i>Standards for Family-Serving Programs: Building Success through Family Support.</i> The Statewide Parent Advocacy Network (SPAN) of New Jersey provided this presentation defines family support and details the components of successful family support programs: beliefs in principles, effective practice standards, and effective administration standards. The presentation was developed by The NJ Task Force on Child Abuse & Neglect & Family Support America.

This report provides the latest national and state data on Medicaid enrollment and spending for individuals enrolled in both Medicaid and Medicare, also known as dual eligibles. Nationally, there are 7.5 million dual eligibles and while they comprise 14 percent of the Medicaid population, they account for 40 percent of Medicaid spending.

On September 1, 2005, The Bush administration's Medicaid Commission released its recommendations for reducing the growth in Medicaid spending by $11 billion over the next five years. The report provides a history and overview of the program, explains the purpose of the commission, and offers six recommendations for savings.
