ADvancing States is pleased to announce the release of a new report, Advancing Equity through MLTSS Programs, co-authored with Impact 120. This report highlights the numerous ways that managed long-term services and supports (MLTSS) programs can enhance state capacity to create more equitable programs for consumers. Research and interviews identified five key themes, which are explored in detail with recommendations for future action.

This report from CMS presents information on disparities in health care received by people using Medicare Advantage. The report looks at differences in quality of care based on race and ethnicity and sex as well as the intersections of race/ethnicity and sex. CMS uses data from the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems and the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set in this report.

In honor of Pride month, ACL has published a blog post highlighting the experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities and the challeges many face in advocating for equity and inclusion. The blog post also outlines the various measures ACL has taken to ensure the diverse needs of the community are met, specficially for individuals with IDD.
