This week, the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)-funded Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) published an article titled, “Community Partnerships: An Effective Inclusion Strategy,” which includes resources, guidance, and successful case studies for inclusion-minded businesses looking to hire, support, and retain employees with disabilities. Scripps Gerontology Center and the Aging and Disability Business Institute have released a report detailing findings from the 2021 CBO-Health Care Contracting Request for Information (RFI) Survey. The report identifies key findings, contracting patterns and trends from the analysis of all four RFI surveys. The data provides insight on the proportion of CBOs contracting with health care entities and the status of the CBO-health care contracting market.

This report discusses the results of a poll investigating how AAAs measure the value of their services. The poll also examined if AAAs' value proposition development has led to successful partnerships. In addition to highlighting the findings of the poll, this report also reviews key informant interviews from AAAs who have successfully used value measurement to strengthen partnerships.

This paper examines the success of grants given to initiatives that address the employment gap between people with and without disabilities. Independent evaluations identified five elements which were common to successful projects, namely, 1) A focus on changing attitudes about people with disabilities and their ability to work, 2) A person-centered approach to employment, 3) Technological platforms or model documentation, 4) Strong community partnerships, and 5) Wraparound services.

In order to better address health-related social needs, communities across the country have been experimenting with programs to connect health care providers with community-based organizations (CBOs) that address social needs, such as housing, food insecurity, and assistance with utilities and transportation.This brief from the Commonwealth Fund surveys the landscape of these programs, highlights common challenges, and proposes solutions.
