Call for Promising Practices: Supporting Adults with I/DD and Family Caregivers

The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities and Brandeis University are gathering information on promising practices to support older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are interested in promising practices in future planning, outreach services and supports, and bridging the aging and disability networks. Please share your information via a brief survey by March 1, 2023.

Congregate Meal Site Reopening Survey

The Nutrition and Aging Resource Center has partnered with the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs (NANASP) to conduct a survey of local senior nutrition providers and area agencies on aging on the status of successfully reopened congregate meal sites after the COVID-19 pandemic. The input from this survey will be used to develop webinars, trainings, and other resources that will be housed in the Resource Center in order to share best practices.

State Medicaid Budget Survey: Medicaid Enrollment & Spending Growth FY 2022 and 2023

KFF’s new state Medicaid budget survey anticipates Medicaid enrollment will begin to decline in FY 2023, following the end of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE). The 22nd annual survey finds that states expect growth in Medicaid enrollment to slow to 8.4 percent in FY 2022 (down from 11.2 percent the previous year) before declining by 0.4 percent in FY 2023.

Survey on Accessible Transportation for Older Adults and People with Disabilities

The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center, a program of the Federal Transit Administration administered by Easterseals and USAging with guidance from ACL, is lookig for survey participants to share challenges and promising practices in providing accessible transportation to older adults and people with disabilities. Survey responses will help guide NADTC's work over the next year.

NPRC Survey

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) is conducting a national survey to better understand the wants and needs of people impacted by paralysis and their realtionship with the resource center.The objective of the survey is to learn how the disability and paralysis community view the NPRC as a strategic partner in the advancement of disability rights, and how Reeve/NPRC can best use this feedback to identify current needs, improve their services, and identify gaps where improvements can be made. The survey will remain open until Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Seeking Input from OAA Funded Programs

The Nutrition and Aging Resource Center is seeking input from those who work with Older Americans Act (OAA) funded programs, such as Area Agencies on Aging, State Units on Aging, and local providers of nutrition services. Survey responses will help inform the future direction of the Center’s programming, training, and research in the area of older adult nutrition services. The survey will take 15 - 30 minutes to complete.

A New Standard of Innovation: Findings from the I&R/A Technology Survey

This issue brief summarizes and shares quantitative and qualitative findings from the Aging and Disability Information and Referral/Assistance Technology Short Survey to inform understanding of key technology developments and highlight approaches that may be useful in the current situation or in future disaster situations. This survey, administered by ADvancing States’ National Information and Referral Support Center in 2021, gathered data in several key areas including service modality and call volume; social media; the resource database; Information Technology systems; remote work; and new technologies for staff and client engagement.
