Mi Via or My Way is the name of this states self-directed waiver program. They have created a number of tools to socially market their service including a colorful and artist logo, tote bags that work on either walkers or wheelchairs and pens shaped like chile peppers.

These presentations were part of the 2007 Government and Vendor Fiscal/Employer Agent Workshop. The presentations given by West Virginia, New Mexico, and New Jersey representatives explore the benefits and challenges of providing supportive and F/EA services under one umbrella organization versus providing them through separate vendor entities.

The three presentations provided here were part of the 2007 Government and Vendor Fiscal/Employer Agent Workshop. The presentations focus on current challenges and promising practices related to the provision of workers’ compensation insurance for Massachusetts, Illinois, and New Mexico programs.

The State of New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department requested proposals from qualified entities to provide statewide services as a Consultant Contractor Agency to individuals who choose to direct their own waiver services in New Mexico’s Self-Directed Waiver program, Mi Via. New Mexico has developed a video that features the stories of Mi Via participants and information about the program features. The video is found on the Mi Via website. It is about 20 minutes long and is available in four languages.

This SSP was developed for New Mexico's Mi Via program. The SSP outlines review criteria for consumers purchasing goods and services for their individual budget.

These service standards were developed for New Mexico's Mi Via program. The document includes information about the eligibility determination process, support contractors, the budget allotment process, and participant rights and responsibilities.

A summary from the June 2001 symposium titled, “Independent Choices: A National Symposium on Consumer-Direction and Self-Determination for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities”. Major themes and outcomes are highlighted based on the dialogue from the various speakers including policymakers, program administrators, consumer advocates, service producers, and researchers.
