This brief includes the latest (FY 2018) Medicaid HCBS enrollment and spending data from KFF’s 18th annual 50-state survey. It contains data about per-enrollee spending on HCBS by target population and HCBS waiver waiting lists. This issue brief also includes tables with detailed state-level data. Analysis of State Efforts to Comply with Fair Labor Standards Act Protections to Home Care Workers

This report looks at the changes states implemented to their Medicaid or other publicly-funded consumer directed home care programs in order to comply with the 2013 FLSA Home Care Rule. The report includes perspectives from various stakeholders and describes issues raised in interviews. It provides an overview of early implementation efforts, an environmental scan of state policies and procedures, and a case study examination of states with well-documented hardship exceptions.

Nutrition Assistance Programs: Agencies Could Do More to Help Address the Nutritional Needs of Older Adults

This report looks at how federal agencies can better meet the nutritional needs of older adults. The study examines how older adults' nutrition is connected to health outcomes and the extent to which federal nutrition guidelines address older adults' nutritional needs. It also outlines the challenges program providers face in meeting older adults' nutritional needs. GAO makes a series of recommendations for HHS and USDA to improve federal nutrition assistance programs for this population.

Training Needs of Professionals Who Serve People With I/DD and Mental Health Needs and Their Families

This report explores the need for resources and funding to train professionals on how to better support people who have I/DD and a mental health need. Over the past year, The Arc has conducted focus groups on this subject with 66 stakeholders in Maryland, Indiana, and Florida. The findings from these discussions are highlighted in this report.

The 2019 Youth Transition Report: Outcomes for Youth and Young Adults with Disabilities

This report presents educational and employment data for youth and young adults with and without disabilities. It highlights the gap between youth with disabilities and those without disabilities on key measures of educational and employment success. This first report includes the status of the selected population, education, employment, and opportunity youth indicators. Future reports will also include a longitudinal trend analysis of these indicators.
