What Do Medicaid Unwinding Data by Race and Ethnicity Show?

A recent analysis by KFF explores the unwinding of the pandemic continuous enrollment provision in Medicaid, with a focus on its impact on different racial and ethnic groups. This analysis was based on data from the nine states reporting data that allowed for analysis of disenrollment patterns by race and ethnicity as of September 2023: Arizona, California, Indiana, Minnesota, Oregon, Nevada, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Washington. The analysis found that across these states, the racial and ethnic composition of people losing coverage generally mirrors that of the overall Medicaid population. Workforce Recruitment Program Participant Enrollment Open Now

The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is currently seeking applicants for the 2024 WRP talent database. Current, full-time undergraduate or graduate students with disabilities, and recent graduates who received a postsecondary degree on or after April 1, 2021 from a U.S.-accredited college or university, are eligible to apply for WRP in fall 2023. The WRP provides college students and recent graduates with disabilities with career development and potential connections to federal employment. WRP is managed by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and the U.S. Department of Defense's Diversity Management Operations Center (DMOC).

Employment Protections Under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973: 50 Years of Protecting Americans with Disabilities in the Workplace

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently released a commemorative resource guide about the recruitment, hiring, and employment of individuals with disabilities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The EEOC and DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) issued this guide to explain the key roles these agencies have in Rehabilitation Act enforcement, outreach, and education. This resource guide also includes recruitment and hiring “Best Practices”, retention and advancement “Best Practices”, as well as other key resources for guidance and technical assistance.

Supporting Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Their Aging Caregivers

ACL Seeks Presenters for NIDILRR’s Second Annual Stakeholder Matchmaking Sessions

The Administration for Community Living’s (ACL) National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is sponsoring its second year of virtual matchmaking sessions for ACL/NIDILRR stakeholders, with virtual sessions scheduled from October - November 2023. The goal of these sessions is to connect stakeholders with each other to share information, discuss common research interests, and ultimately find partners for research collaboration. ACL/NIDILRR is actively seeking presenters to participate in these sessions.
